Joshua is a transactional attorney at Pierce Law Group LLP. A former New York City District Attorney, Joshua now specializes in talent representation within the film and television industries, where he has accrued a wealth of experience from his time working in various prominent agencies, management firms, and production companies, including The Firm, Overbrook Entertainment, Don Buchwald & Associates, Mosaic, and MGMT Entertainment. He was worked with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, such as Britney Spears, Will Smith, Toccara, Ralph Macchio, Jennifer Connelly, Heather Graham, Cher, Richard Dreyfuss, David Duchovny, The Wayans Brothers and Steven McQueen.
Now at Pierce Law Group LLP, Joshua's clients include writers, production companies, and talented artists. Some of his notable deals include the Hub’s MAJORS & MINORS, Netflix’s CALL ME KING and We TV’s HUSTLE & SOUL. Most recently, Joshua negotiated a rights acquisition deal for the popular New Line Cinema franchise THE CONJURING.
Joshua is licensed in both New York and California. He earned his law degree from the CUNY School of Law, where he was an articles editor for the CUNY Law Review, President of the Entertainment Law Society, and recipient of the Best Brief award for the Summer 2001 Moot Court Competition while graduating in the top third of his class. Joshua also holds an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, where he graduated magna cum laude while being inducted into both the Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Alpha Delta national honor societies. Joshua was awarded the Hank Gathers award at LMU for attaining the highest GPA among African Americans in the Graduate School of Business. Joshua also holds a BA in Criminal Justice from Clark Atlanta University, where he also graduated magna cum laude.
During his spare time, Joshua mentors young high school students and volunteers at homeless shelters and senior citizen homes.
